Unity of existence in the poetry of Al-Makzoon Al-Sinjari
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article seeks to reveal the doctrine of the unity of existence in the poetry of Al-Makzun Al-Sinjari (583 H - 638 H), whose name was associated with poetry, philosophy, jurisprudence, and Sufism. The article raises the following problem: What type of unity does the poet symbolize? Is it an existential unity based on a philosophical idea, or is it a witnessing unity that the poet achieved through manifestation and cognitive enlightenment resulting from spiritual exercises? The aim of this article is to extract the intellectual component from the poetic and the poetic component from the intellectual. For this reason, we followed an analysis approach that is dominated by description and interpretation.
