Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to verify the effectiveness of a therapeutic and guidance program proposed by teachers to alleviate the symptoms of attention deficit disorder accompanied by hyperactivity in a sample of students in the second and third years of primary school education.

In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the field study will rely on the Conners Scale, the Attention Difficulties Scale, the Selective Attention to Visual Stimuli Test, in addition to interviews with the children in the sample and with their mothers in order to collect data about the cases.

In this study, we will also use the quasi-experimental method as it is the most appropriate. In addition, aquestionnaire will be used to diagnose hyperactivity disorder accompanied by attention deficit, after which a cognitive therapeutic and directive program will be applied for the student. The therapeutic protocol will be applied in thirty training therapeutic sessions. The study will take place in eight primary schools located in Algiers.

All this is in order to know that the therapeutic and counseling program that will be designed and implemented will have a positive and effective impact in reducing the degree of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in the school-going child, as well as contributing to improving his level of academic achievement.
