Abstract

The world is experiencing a digital revolution that has never been witnessed before. This revolution has affected various aspects of life and its manifestations, and even linguistic studies have interacted with these new technologies. We want to shed light here on the lexical industry, which has not been spared from this, especially since dictionaries are a linguistic industry. It is very ancient and we need it as an incubator for all language terms, both used and neglected, and since there is an urgent need to keep pace with the developments of the times and keep pace with technological development, these new technologies have produced for us the digital or electronic dictionary.

This study came to highlight the importance of the lexicographic industry and what it offers to the Arabic language, and also to show the importance of the digital dictionary, which students and even professors and researchers have come to rely on in determining the meanings and connotations of Arabic terms, so that they reach their goal with a click on the computer or smart phone.
