Abstract

The text is formed within certain contexts and bears various discourses of different formats, especially in relation to the study of the text of the Holy Quran. The transition from the concept of a sentence to the text led to the reconsideration of the linguistic study from another vantage point; analyzing the text no longer relies on only describing sentences with reference to its grammatical component or its phonetic and morphological levels. Therefore, the linguistics of the text highlights the cognitive interaction of grammar, rhetoric, and criticism and this fits into the purpose of this study. The textual approach is an effective and successful strategy that is adopted in the Algerian educational curricula for its inclusion of various techniques, means, and methodological procedures in the light of educational reforms, and for being efficientto prepare the learner to integrate into society and be a good individual. This study raises questions about the types of texts proposed in the curriculum and how they serve the learner. It also searches for the place of the Qur'anic text in the curricula for its ability to tell, narrate, describe, converse, and argue; in other words, this text encompasses all the mechanisms of modern linguistic curricula with the various types of texts.
