Abstract

This research aims to highlight the methodological value that the Maghreb educational system acquired in the past centuries, when teachers were interested in combining the Holy Qur’an and Islamic sciences on the one hand, and mental sciences and experimental sciences on the third hand.

The teacher or sheikh would teach his students the Arabic language, arithmetic, mathematics, and logic, in an organized manner that was compatible with the children’s learning levels. The Arab and Maghreb countries in particular still maintained these systems while developing them in a way that was compatible with technological development and the diversity of cultures.

The research attempts to advance traditional educational curricula and invest in their methods, methods, and levels in strengthening the educational portfolio in first or primary education, as it is the foundational building block and first rule in the scientific formation of children.
