Abstract

The relationship between philosophy and science is one of the topics that attracts the interest of many researchers and philosophers, as this relationship represents a convergence point between deep philosophical inquiry and precise scientific analysis. This study examines this relationship by analyzing its evolution throughout history and its impact on human thought. The study reveals that philosophy and science have evolved side by side, where philosophy represented the primary approach to human thought before the emergence of science as we know it today. With the development and independent emergence of science, philosophy also began to evolve to include discussions on scientific methodology, ethics, and metaphysics. The study also emphasizes that philosophy and science continuously exchange ideas and concepts, with philosophers posing fundamental questions about existence, truth, and meaning, while science provides evidence and results that can be used to support or challenge philosophical theories. Based on the findings of the study, it can be said that the relationship between philosophy and science is one of cooperation and interaction, where each can benefit from interacting with the other in their common quest to understand the world and reality more deeply and comprehensively.
