Abstract

The folklore is considered as a long track record of different performing arts which were inherited by many generations over time. It is derived from people's life as it is a mean of communication between communities and it covers people' lifestyles in the past, their stories, proverbs, past habits and traditions.


The folklore can be seen today in familial celebrations and events since it's very important for them. Therefore it is then a criss crossed world of inherited sayings and behaviours through history. The folklore also shows us different cultural aspects which reflects intellectual dimensions and it is considered as the mirror which reflects also societies' real life. In addition it proves social identity as it helps the society to keep its traditions that are clearly shown in people ' behaviours and social values.
