Abstract

The graphic miracle has many faces that reflect aspects of the miracle in the Quranic system. Starting with the sound and ending with vocabulary and structures, we have chosen to search in a feature of that miraculousness, which is related to brevity. And if this method is embodied in different places in the Quran, the Quranic story reflects it clearly, so we chose in this study the topic of brevity in the Quranic story, specifically in the story of Moses with Pharaoh, by virtue of that it is one of the most mentioned stories in the Quran due to considerations, and its consequences.

This is due to the difference in the methods of presentation, which ranged between redundancy and brevity.

Accordingly, we will try, through this study, to present the rhetoric of brevity in the story of Moses with Pharaoh, in order to answer the following questions: What are the manifestations of brevity in the narrative discourse of the Quran, specifically in the story of Moses with Pharaoh? How did it contribute to building the Quranic story and defining its miraculous dimensions?
