Abstract

This study aims to search for the first foundations of logic in ancient Greek philosophies, and since logic was founded by Aristotle, we started by asking whether Aristotle established logic as pure creativity separately from other philosophies, or was he influenced by them? If it is proven that Aristotle benefited from certain philosophies or theories, they can be considered preliminary beginnings that contributed to paving the way for the establishment of logic.

We concluded that Aristotle, in establishing logic, was influenced by many of the existing philosophies of his time, the most important of which were the philosophies of Socrates and Plato, and the dialectical approach widespread in Greek society played a major role in paving the way for the establishment of logic.
