Abstract

This article aims to invalidate the allegations of many scholars and others who make poetry among the Arabs unrelated to intellectual and scientific life, because for them it is only related to emotions and feelings. And we came to the conclusion that the truth is completely contrary to what they claim, and that Arabic poetry has always, since its appearance, been linked to the mental and intellectual life of the Arabs, as it has always been a container for their sciences, and a record of their civilization in all ages. We cited the concept of poetry itself in the speech of eloquent Arabs on the one hand, and the opinions of many Arabic scholars, writers, and ancient and modern critics on the other hand.
