The Purposeful Dimensions of Endowment Funds and Ways to Activate and Invest Them

Abstract

This study addressed the intended dimensions of endowment funds, and the legitimate ways and mechanisms for activating and investing them, so that they become an important tributary that contributes to achieving sustainable development, and covers some of the aspects that state budgets were unable to cover. It is an attempt to revive the ancient Islamic endowment system, as it was an important source in meeting the nation’s social, economic, military, scientific, and other needs. This is not far off in this era if governments adopt its revival in accordance with the modern formulas produced by the contemporary Islamic financial system.
