Psychological assessment of a schizophrenia case using the Rorschach comprehensive system

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a mental  disorder  or disease basically diagnosed by a psychiatrist, however,  psychologists could be requested for a psychological assessment , in this case the use of the Rorschach comprehensive system allows a fine evaluation of various psychological, and cognitive processes such as information processing, and emotional processes including stress management and relational processes within self-perception and perception of relationships,  it allows  also to establish a diagnosis in order to spot the overall psychological functioning of the subject.

This simultaneous reading of the various clinical signs expressed and identified through the clinical mental examination and the psychological examination, allows to identify the disorder under its multiple aspects and to define the best therapeutic approach that suits the patient
