Abstract

The historical reference is one of the most important references on which literature in general and childhood literature in particular, with its diversity in events and personalities, and the educational value it carries rooted in time, where the character of the historical hero plays a pivotal role in making and crystallizing the exemplary image of the Algerian child, especially as it It is closely related to its distant and near past, which instills in itself a love of the homeland and a love of everything related to this homeland. There is no doubt that the employment of the historical hero in children's literature did not take a single appearance, and this is due to the different purposes for which he was employed, so this intervention seeks to trace the transformations of the presence of the historical hero in Algerian children's literature through some literature in this field.
