Abstract

This article aims to present a field study that aims for a set of objectives, namely measuring the level of Internet addiction among university students and knowing the nature of differences in their Internet addiction level according to gender and scientific specialization.  Therefore, the descriptive approach, which is considered the most appropriate for such studies, was adopted on a sample of (200) university students, male and female, by applying the measure of addiction to the Internet among university students by the researcher Muhammad Ahmed Shaheen (2015), and therefore the results of the study revealed that there is a medium level of addiction to The Internet among university students, and there are statistically significant differences in the level of Internet addiction among university students due to the variable of gender and scientific specialization
