Abstract

This article examines the methodological and epistemological relationship between stylistics as a critical theory, and linguistics as a linguistic theory, trying to elucidate the conceptual relationship that unites them, on one hand, their cognitive interaction under the guise of interdependence, on the other hand, their methodological difference under the cover of specialization. This article also attempts to explore the two disciplines in depth by discussing linguistic stylistics and its scope in contemporary linguistic and critical studies
