Abstract
Saint Augustine, one of the most prominent thinkers in the history of Christianity, serves as an important model for understanding the interaction between Latin and African cultures in antiquity. Although Augustine was born in North Africa, some associate him primarily with Latin culture, overlooking the influence of his African environment on his thought.
