Crimes of French Colonialism in Light of International Law and International Humanitarian Law

Abstract
This study aims to present the crimes of French colonialism in relation to the principles of international law and international humanitarian law, particularly the principle of human dignity and the principle of military necessity. The research demonstrated that colonial France violated the first principle through brutal practices, especially torture, which was a systematic policy.
