Abstract

This important scientific study deals with the separation of religion from the French colonial administration in Algeria . It was demanded by Algerian associations and dealt with by the French colonial administration in Algeria, where the Association of Muslim Scholars was the leader of this demand. Islamic religious affairs in Algeria were an important factor for the Algerian people and their intellectuals .Each party had goals and means, especially since the French dealings with other religious minorities in Algeria were completely different from their dealings with Islamic affairs .
