Main Article Content
Abstract
Food cannot be limited to a biological need to build and repair the body, but is also a cultural fact. It is loaded with representations, values and norms. While the satisfaction of the biological urge is the same for all humans, there is a difference between cultures in the ways, methods and customs in which it is treated. Given the importance of eating habits in translating the culture of societies, and because the table and its customs can constitute a basic entry point for reading society, in this article we seek to find out what role eating habits play in social education.
