Abstract

This article explores the integration of traditional cultures in the treatment of mental illness, focusing on the Zarda ritual as an effective model. By analyzing the historical, symbolic and psychological dimensions of the Zarda, the article explores how these
rituals can be used in modern therapeutic protocols to promote mental health. It addresses the cultural and scientific challenges that stand in the way of this integration, and provides a practical example of how Zarda ritual can be transferred to therapy rooms
and repurposed to suit enclosed spaces while retaining its essential elements.
