Abstract
Indian society's dome was built with women as its cornerstones. In the Rig Vedic era, women enjoyed high social rank. Women were properly educated in the
early Vedic era, claim Katyyana and Patanjali. Women had excellent opportunities to raise their own intellectual and spiritual standards. Women enjoyed having the freedom to select their partners, girls could go to school, and widow remarriage was popular (Swayamvara).
