Reconsidering Language Testing in English Language Classrooms

Abstract
Teaching a foreign language such as English requires more attention and involvement on the part of both teachers and learners; nonetheless, there are some important matters that affect English language teaching such as language testing. In fact, language testing which is part of language assessment (McNamara, 2004) has been less focused on and less given importance. This is due, in the main, to the lack of awareness of its importance in teaching in general and English language teaching in particular.
