Abstract

The Prophetic Biography was of early interest in Italy, adopted by priests andmonks and promoted by writers and poets, as Dante did, with mucth distortion, forgery and fabrication. This was until Alessandro D’Ancona produced his reserch paper titled «The Legend of Muhammad in the West », refuting many of these falshoods, which helped orientalists after him to write with a scientefic approach far from forgery and exageration.
