The problem of social diversity in state-building contexts - nation: conceptual approaches – theory

Abstract

This study addresses the issue of social diversity within the contexts of state nation building: Conceptual and theoretical approaches. The significance of this
topic lies in its treatment of one of the most important and complex issues in the process of state building and stability, as it relates to aspects that affect the cohesion and stability of both society and the state. The main objective of this study is to understand the theoretical foundations of state-nation building through the analysis of classical and contemporary theories that discuss the concept of state-nation building. The study concludes with key findings centered around the idea that most of the theories and concepts that address the issue of state-nation building in the context of social diversity highlight a distinction between those theories. Whether from a theoretical or practical perspective, there is no model theory that analyzes the issue of social diversity in the process of state-nation building. Different formulas emerge from varying social conditions and aim to achieve different political and strategic objectives.
