Abstract

The book Al-Fattash is considered one of the most important historical sources that cannot be dispensed with in writing the history of Western Sudan in particular. This is because its author is a prominent figure in terms of academic level, social status and political position. We add to that that this composition is the result of the effort between the grandfather and the grandson until it reached its final form. Despite the distortion it was subjected to, many researchers attribute this case to the main accused being "Sheikh Ahmed Lobo" and "Alpha Noah bin Al-Taher Al Fulani". This is what made us choose this point from the points that were exploited in distorting Al-Fattash, namely the events of the Hajj caravan that the forger focused on for Al-Fattash to be a historical background that gives legitimacy to what is intended to become legitimate despite its falsehood and lack of credibility. This is what we will discuss in this study.
