The Islamic Guarantees for Elderly Care and Their Activation in Contemporary Islamic Societies
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research addresses the issue of elderly care as a prominent challenge faced by contemporary societies in light of demographic and social changes that have led to an increase in the elderly population and shifts in lifestyle patterns. The study is based on an examination of Quranic texts and Prophetic traditions that have established clear principles for elderly care, whether through enhancing their status in society or providing guarantees to protect them from marginalization and neglect. The research also highlights the moral dimensions of these guarantees, such as valuing and respecting the elderly within families and communities, alongside the material dimensions that include economic and social support provided by families, society, and the state.
