Abstract

The university is considered one of the most important educational institutions in society, as it is a scientific edifice and a source of cognitive radiation from which ideas and opinions that influence society emerge. The university professor is the cornerstone of this institution and the first instigator of science and knowledge, and an effective influencer in the external environment. The Algerian university witnesses the graduation of a huge number of professors and executives annually, but what is noted about these cadres and executives is a lack of training. Therefore, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has been interested in training newly hired professors and accompanying them pedagogically in their professional path. Based on this result and based on what the Algerian university is witnessing in terms of programmed training and supervision of newly hired professors, we decided to work on this topic in this research paper, which we called: "University training and pedagogical support for newly hired professors in the Algerian university."
