Abstract
This study aims to shed light on the ideological discourse of Algerian feminist cinema in the 21st century, in which female filmmakers have emerged and
presented artistic works that have gained significant popularity and been well received by fans of the seventh art. These filmmakers have distanced themselves
from the revolutionary history of cinema and the efforts of women during the colonial period. This is evident in the themes of feminist films, which almost
universally defend the rights of Algerian women, whose freedoms have been curtailed in a patriarchal society that subjects them to various forms of violence,
such as rape, deprivation of education and repeated assaults.
