Abstract

The rise of feminist literature has since its emergence raised several issues, starting first with its name and the terms used to describe it. It has faced rejection from critics at times, and ridicule at others. Some have denied the legitimacy of its label, while others have fought against the female presence in the creative scene. Despite all attacks that have challenged the creative journey of women they did not give up. They continued their struggle to assert their existence as creators and critics. It was not easy for them to shake the patriarchal authority that was deeply rooted in social consciousness, nor was it easy for them to climb the social ladder to reach a position that would allow them to participate in creating and changing laws. However, in the end, they succeeded, carving
out a place for themselves through much struggle and sacrifice.
