Abstract
Algerian society, like other societies, knew the phenomenon of celebrations, which were always one of the means of expression with directed messages. This study deals with the phenomenon of ceremonial practices during the colonial period, which were mostly associated with religious and national occasions, and which were widely spread among popular circles, where they were predominant. The spread of customs outside of our correct Islamic customs.
