Impact of Leadership Styles on Job Satisfaction of Customs Employees: A Field Study at the Inspectorate of Customs Departments of Chlef

Abstract
This study examines the influence of various leadership styles—democratic, autocratic, and laissez-faire—on the job satisfaction levels of customs employees within the Inspectorate of Customs Departments in Chlef. Employing a descriptive methodology, a questionnaire was administered to a cohort of 173 participants, yielding 159 valid responses. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS V26 software, which uncovered a positive correlation between leadership
styles and job satisfaction among the customs employees. It was further noted that the autocratic leadership style predominates within the institution studied.
