Abstract
This study aimed to identify the reasons for the low level of achievement in statistics among first-year social science students at Amar Telidji University of
Laghouat. A random sample of 120 students was selected for the research. Data were collected utilizing a questionnaire prepared by the researchers, and statistical analyses were conducted using percentages. The descriptive exploratory method was employed due to its suitability for the study.
