Radio programmes treatment of environmental issues in southern Algeria

Abstract

The role of the media has increased and its roles have multiplied, and its methods of  iinfluence have diversified and its means have developed in societies, as a result of technological developments in the field of communication and it has become an effective tool that cannot be dispensed with in any case, and radio is one of the most prominent types of mass communication, as it has an effective role in the function of social interaction, especially with the emergence of what local radio directed to the community, and regardless of the role it plays in education, entertainment, and news, it has now given prominent importance to the environmental aspect, in order to educate the listener environmentally and protect and preserve the environment, and work to raise awareness, and spread the culture of dealing with environmental problems, so it is necessary to shed light on how these means address environmental issues, by analyzing
the contents of radio programs and classes on the local Oued-Souf Radio, which are related to the environmental field.
