Television advertisements and their role in the socialization of preschool children

Abstract
This study aimed to know the extent to which preschool children watch television advertisements, the
extent of the benefit they gain from them, the extent to which they believe them, and to know whether
children imitate television advertisements or not, using the survey method on a sample of parents in the
state of Bouira, but individually. Among the most prominent results reached by the study: The study
revealed that (98.2%) of preschool children in the state of Bouira watch television, and (91.9%) of them
watch television advertisements, and (87.8%) of parents encourage their children to watch
advertisements. (91%) of parents confirmed that their children benefit from being exposed to
advertisements on television, and (28.5%) of them indicated that their children learn how to deal with
some things through them, and (21.8%) that their children benefit from how to maintain their health.
