Abstract

The classical narrative structure of fairy tales, with its three key stages — the misdeed, the unfolding, and the happy resolution — has remained a universal and timeless framework across cultures. This structure, starting with a conflict or imbalance, such as an injustice, pushes the protagonist to face challenges that test their values and abilities. The happy resolution restores order and provides both emotional satisfaction and moral lessons. While this structure remains constant, modern tales have adapted to contemporary concerns, addressing issues like identity struggles, inclusion, and environmental challenges. Despite these updates, they continue to convey universal messages of justice, solidarity, and hope, reflecting the evolving but enduring power of storytelling.
