The Hammadi army: reading the structure and organization

Abstract

Through this study, we aim to examine and understand the historical process of the emergence and development of the
Hammadid army, its position among the systems of different countries, and its position in the political strategy, as well as
to understand the ethnic, doctrinal, and political reality of the Hammadid state, through its organizational structure,
represented by infantry, cavalry, and sailors. We also tried with an analytical look to Understanding the structure of the
Almohad army through its main human elements that constitute it, according to their influence, numbers, and weight.
Finally, we sought to find out the reasons that precipitated the end of the Hammadid state after the elimination of its
army, especially after it was forced to confront forces that were ignorant of its capabilities and were forced to confront
them. The study concludes with some important results as a summary and recommendations.
