Abstract

During the Ottoman era, Algeria witnessed a doctrinal dualism, which emerged through the presence of two prominent sects; the Maliki school, which
maintained its presence in Algeria since the second century AH, is followed by the majority of Algerian people, and along with it spread the Hanafi school,
which disappeared a long time ago from the central Maghreb, but it reappeared with the arrival of the Ottomans to Algeria. Through this study, we tried to
focus on the endowment and the judiciary due to their importance in social development and the spread of justice, and our aim is to shed light on the reality
of the relationship between the two sects and the extent of their impact on strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and developing public life in Algerian
society.
