Abstract

This paper attempts to address and know the basic dynamics underlying the religious space around the Almorabit phenomenon in the Great Maghreb and the original characteristics and complex functions of the Salahah dynasties in the Berber tribes, who play the role of arbitrators between the tribes, at the same time linking them to traditional Islam, we tried to trace the path in which they originated The phenomenon in the Maghreb and Algeria in particular, focusing
on concepts, such as the wali and the salih.... And others. Putting these concepts in their historical context allowed us to understand the circumstances in which the phenomenon arose. The study wonders about the factors that led to its spread and what are the transformations that the phenomenon experienced, especially since the mechanisms on which the modern state is based, it created new forms. Change is accelerating in terms of modernization, but it is slow within the space of societal depth, which made it take different forms according to the tribe / group and according to the different historical context.
