Abstract

The present study aims at investigating the place that the intercultural dimension occupies in the training of the students of tourism notably the tourist guides in F.O.S. We attempt first to highlight the place of culture in didactics of foreign languages then we approach French of tourism as linguistic and cultural competence as well as specific cultural needs in French of tourism. Moreover, the researcher brings some lanes of cogitation for an installation of an
education of language-culture of specialty in the training of tourist guides in French of tourism. Results acquired through the conduction of a questionnaire addressed for tourist guides point out the almost absence of an intercultural dimension in their training in French of tourism.
