Abstract
Vocabulary is considered a fundamental building block in language construction. It is not merely a component of language but also the key to effective communication. A weak vocabulary hinders comprehension and expression, both in speaking and reading. This study aims to analyze the most common vocabulary in Arabic language textbooks for first-grade primary students in Algeria and Tunisia. The objective is to understand the impact of these words on language learning and determine their suitability for early childhood. The study seeks to answer two main questions: What is the role of common vocabulary in developing students' language skills? And how does it contribute to expanding their linguistic repertoire?
