Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the provisions relating to insurance for the environmental-polluting industrial investor's activity in Algeria by analysing current legal realities and practices relating to environmental liability insurance. Emphasis will be placed on the effectiveness of environmental liability insurance in protecting the environment and compensating for damage caused by the industrial investor's activity. Gaps and challenges in securing environmental responsibility in Algerian law will also be explored, with recommendations and suggestions to improve the legal situation in this regard.
