Abstract

Islamic manuscripts are an essential material heritage that serve as invaluable sources for historical and archaeological studies. They represent a precious legacy, encompassing a vast array of knowledge meticulously documented by scholars across diverse fields. Moreover, manuscripts embody an art form precisely crafted by the author or copyist to render them aesthetically pleasing, complementing their rich content with artistic merit, evident in the script,
ornamentation, and colors employed. We have selected the manuscript "Al-Tuhfa Al-Murdiya fi Al-Dawla Al-Bakdashiya fi Bilad Al-Jazayer Al-Mahmiyya" (The Pleasing Masterpiece of the Bakdashian Rule in the Lands of Protected Algeria) by Mohammad Ben Mimoon Al-Jazayri for its significant value, as it exemplifies Algerian Islamic manuscripts and provides raw scholarly material for writing Algerian history.
