Abstract

Organizations are constantly living in a changing environment and the extent of response to this change varies from one organization to another, as the
organization is exposed while trying to keep up with these changes the possibility of resistance to them, which negatively affects the performance of its actors. we are here looking at the causes of organizational change and employee resistance to it. In addition to what administrative organizations, especially Algerian ones, must do today to balance the goals of change with the goals of individuals and their trends so that the change goes towards the goal set. Some of the reasons for resistance lie in fear and a sense of danger of what this change will bring with unwillingness to change the existing routine, inability to implement it and fear of losing power...Therefore, through this article, we will seek to shed light on the phenomenon of resistance to change, which is one of the most important challenges facing human resources management in Algerian institutions, which may lead to the failure of any effort to transform the organization for the better, and highlight how to face this resistance in order to ensure the continuity of the organization's activity and adapt to the changes taking place and seek to impart more effectiveness and excellence, because change aims to give and add everything new and useful to the institution.
