Abstract

Algeria underwent the most dangerous type of colonialism known as settler colonialism. This is the one who wanted to replace
one people with another people imported from southern Europe. Naturally, this requires a comprehensive colonial policy,
including direct military invasion, but also a poisonous and deadly administrative policy. This policy was not directed at
everyone, but rather it was directed at Algerians alone, and this explains from the beginning the emergence of what was known as
the administrative interests of the local French colonial authority in Algeria, which was implicitly behind all settlement plans in
Algeria. The administrative machine that the French used to impose their control over the Algerians is considered one of the most
dangerous and ugliest colonial mechanisms in history. Throughout its existence, the colonial authority continued to emphasize the
importance of local French administrative organization through institutions, offices, and administrative departments whose
ultimate goal was to subjugate the people and control their affairs.
