The Contribution of Civil Society in Promoting the Values and Goals of Sustainable Development.

Abstract

The last decade of the twentieth century witnessed various global
economic, social, and environmental transformations. Therefore, this study
addresses the role of civil society in accomplishing sustainable development,
and highlights the significance of partnership between the civil society, the
state, and the private sector. The study adopts the descriptive method and
confirms the role played by civil society to accomplish sustainable
development through organized efforts. It points out the growing interest and
widespread dissemination of the concept of developmental work and the
organization of conferences and forums to develop reformative and
transformative plans.
