THE ROLE OF NEW MEDIA IN HEALTH EDUCATION FIELD STUDY OF A SAMPLE OF STUDENTS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY AND DEMOGRAPHY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF LAGHOUAT

Abstract
This study aims at finding the relationship between the Internet and health education at the university student, to achieve these goals, the descriptive approach was adopted, and a questionnaire tool was employed to collect the study’s data, which includes three main axes which are as follows:
The first axis: sociodemographic data.
The second axis: Students follow-up of health programs on the Internet.
The third axis: Purposes of students’ use of the Internet for health education.
The questionnaire was distributed to the students of the Department of Sociology and Demography at Ammar Thlidji University in Laghouat, where the study sample consisted of 300 students, they were selected by a simple random method, and the study reached many results, the most important of which are:
First: There is a relationship between socio-demographic variables and the use of the Internet in health education.
Second: The Follow-up of health contents on the Internet contributes to educating the university student about health.
Third: The university student has health purposes in choosing health contents on the Internet.
