QURANIC STORIES IN THE CURRICULUM OF PRIMARY SCHOOL AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

Abstract

This research aims to show the extent to which Quranic stories are included in curricula and textbooks for primary education, to identify the set of principles and values included in the listed stories, and to propose Quranic stories that can be employed in various educational materials and determine their impact on the learner, relying in achieving this on the descriptive analytical curriculum, the analysis form is a research tool to collect data, the form consisted of three dimensions, and each dimension is divided into a set of categories.


The results of the study showed that the Quranic stories are absent in all books and curricula for the primary education stage, except for the books of the Islamic education subject, in which the Quranic stories are included in a very small percentage, despite the possibility of linking all the fields and axes prescribed in the curricula of the primary education stage with the Quranic stories in providing information to the learner; which necessitates the need to include them in the educational learning process, and the principles and values included in these stories were identified with the suggestion of Quranic stories that can be employed in various educational materials.
