Abstract

The study aimed to identify recovery periods and their relationship with some physiological variables (heart rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressure) after performing aerobic and anaerobic efforts. The descriptive approach was used due to its suitability with the study objectives. The study sample included (12) players from the middle of the municipality of Orisia who were chosen intentionally. Measurements of physiological variables were taken before performing aerobic and anaerobic efforts, immediately after the effort, then after (2) minutes, then after five (5) minutes. The results concluded that there was a significant increase in physiological variables immediately after aerobic and anaerobic efforts as well as after two minutes, and the return of diastolic blood pressure to its normal state after two minutes of effort, and that the best recovery period is after performing aerobic and anaerobic efforts for two minutes.
