Media is considered the fourth pillar of society. Duringapandemic, the media's role becomes
more important as itcanplaya pivotal role by educating the masses and making them more
aware of the diseaseand its mitigation measures. The present study is aimed to explore the
role of electronic media during a recent pandemic called “Covid-19”.A survey method was
used to collect the data for this study. The study revealed that people havespent excessive
time on media during this pandemic has affected the psychological fabric of media users. The
inability of media to convey a sense of unity against the social distancing criterion ofCovid-
19 along with the creation of fear and anxiety among the public has led to numerous mental
weaknesses as well as public harm. People, who’re using more media, are more vulnerable to
media effects. The study proved that
