Abstract

This study presents an updated analysis of the classical classification of speech disorders developed bySuzanne Borel-Maisonny in (1966), which is based on a tripartite division comprising: motor disorders,psycho-linguistic disorders, and disorders of psychological origin. The study highlights the clinical value
of this classification in understanding oral language disorders in children, particularly in distinguishing between speech, language, and psychological impairments.
